Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are the UK’s flagship work based vocational qualifications for people aged 16 years old and above.
Apprenticeship programmes are specifically designed for particular occupational areas and meet nationally approved standards.
These qualifications are designed by particular industry skills sectors for people wishing to follow a career in that industry.
For companies who wish to provide their employees with industry sector skills and a nationally recognised qualification Apprenticeships are the gold standard.
An Intec Apprenticeship programme includes an industry specific Scottish or National Vocational Qualification (S/NVQs), an occupational Technical Certificate and key numerical, communication and computer skills. The S/NVQs are undertaken at levels 2 and 3 and the whole programme is structured and delivered over a period of 12-24 months depending upon the level.
Intec works closely, in partnership, with companies to develop a programme which is flexible and accommodates the needs of the company and the employee. Intec will organise and deliver the qualification ensuring that it conforms to all industry and award body standards. Intec will take responsibility for the initial assessment and induction of employees onto an apprenticeship programme. Intec will organise award body registration, programme delivery, course assessment, verification and certification of the qualification. Intec directly employs Tutors and Assessors to support the whole process.
An Intec Apprenticeship is available to all employees aged between 16-65 years old in a wide range of occupational areas.
A young person who successfully completes an Apprenticeship qualification can look forward with confidence to a career with prospects.

The UK Government is anxious to increase the skill levels and qualifications of the country’s workforce.
Substantial financial help is available to companies who wish to offer Apprenticeships and Intec is approved to access this funding.
